  • How will I know my reservation is confirmed?
    Once your registration form is submitted, you'll receive an email approving room availability with a link to submit your deposit. Once your deposit is submitted, you will receive an email confirmation with next steps.
  • What's included in a retreat package?
    Please refer to the package page for the retreat you are interested in attending to see what's included in your package price. For all retreats, if you choose to go on any additional excursions outside of the scheduled retreat activities, you will be responsible for the costs however your host would be happy to assist in helping you arrange reservations and transportation.
  • Do you have discounts available?
    Yes! Each retreat is offering a 5% discount for retreats paid in full at time of room confirmation.
  • If I am a solo traveler but do not mind sharing a room or suite with another guest, what should I do?
    If you would like to share a room or suite, but need to be matched with another guest, (if the option is available) you can put your deposit in for the room of your choice, and at check out select “YES to being matched with another solo traveler." Once the retreat host matches you, then they will connect you to your suite mate prior to the retreat so you can get to know each other.
  • Do you provide ground transportation to/from airport?
    Ground transportation is always provided to and from the airport, for all retreats, on the designated start and end dates of the retreat.
  • What should I bring?
    You should generally bring: outfits for evening events and dinners, sunscreen, bug repellent, comfortable clothes and shoes, sneakers, water shoes, sunglasses, swimwear (if climate friendly), reading materials, reusable water bottle, and a little sense of adventure! Please contact your retreat host for specifics on what you should bring to their retreat.
  • What do I need to prepare for international travel?
    A passport valid for 6 months after travel is standard however your retreat host will provide requirements specific to your destination.
  • Should I get travel insurance?
    Travel insurance is not mandatory however we highly recommend you do purchase it, particularly during this climate and/or if you have a pre-existing condition. If you choose to do so, we suggest that you add “cancel for any reason” or “cancel for work reasons” to your policy. Although normal trip cancellation will cover you for illness or injury, or for a travel companion’s illness, injury or death, it is limited to these. With “cancel for any reason” you will receive a percentage (usually 75%-100%) of all pre-paid costs. With this coverage if something comes up, a wedding, a new job opportunity, virus outbreak etc. or if the organizers have to cancel due to weather, staff injury or illness or other unforeseen reasons, you will be covered. *This option needs to be purchased within 15 days of your trip deposit.   • Can I arrive early/stay late?
    You are more than welcome to book your travel to arrive early and/or stay post retreat. If you choose to do so, you will be responsible for the cost of accommodations, food, activities and travel during those additional days.
  • How does Affirm work?
    Affirm is subject to credit approval. We do not have any authority over your approval. You can check to see if you are approved at check out and it will not affect your credit report.
  • Are your events only for women?
    Our community is built to center women, but all are welcome at The Avid Nomad. Come prepared, come respectful, and come ready to connect with the tribe.
  • General Information
    Retreat Host Cancellation: Retreat Hosts in their sole discretion reserves the right to cancel a retreat for attendees’ safety, act of God, government policies or any unforeseeable reason. Upon the occurrence of such cancellation, the Retreat Host will provide a credit for a future retreat, valid for up to one year. Due to the current climate, we strongly encourage attendees to purchase “Cancel For Any Reason” or “Cancel for Work” insurance. Upon the occurrence of such cancellation, the Retreat Host will provide a credit for a future retreat, valid for up to one year. Limited Liability for Unforeseen Circumstances: You agree that neither The Avid Nomad, LLC, its retreat hosts, nor its hotel partners or vendors will be liable or responsible for a cancelled retreat for circumstances beyond reasonable control, including acts of civil or military authority, national emergencies, fire, mechanical breakdown, flood or catastrophe, acts of God, epidemic, pandemic, insurrection, war, riots, or failure of transportation, communication, or power supply. Due to the current climate, we strongly encourage attendees to purchase “Cancel For Any Reason” or “Cancel for Work” insurance. Payment Plans: Should you choose a payment plan, by accepting the terms and conditions and authorizing the charges on your card, you understand you are entering into a legal and binding contract with The Avid Nomad, LLC to pay the total amount shown on the payment page, to be paid on each date as shown in the payment schedule accessible via the payment page, a copy of which will also be emailed to you for reference. You acknowledge that the credit card(s), debit card(s) or other payment method(s) you are using to make this purchase will be active, valid and have sufficient funds available during the entire term of the payment schedule. If for any reason, any of your payments are declined, you agree to provide an alternative, valid payment method. You understand that you may be charged a late fee(s) if a payment is missed on any of the agreed-upon payment dates for any reason whatsoever. The Avid Nomad, LLC may decide to withhold or terminate the registration of a retreat if you fail to make the agreed upon payments as shown in the payment schedule. You understand that you are legally bound to these terms and required by law to make all payments on the agreed-upon payment dates, or via an early payment.
